teamABC - Forest Owls 2011 (Demos) - Free Download Album

So most of you who follow me might know that for the last year almost, I’ve been writing and uploading new demos to my teamforestowls tumblr page, and well, yeah! The new teamABC EP is almost, almost ready to be released, and as a kind’ve thank you to those who are interested, and as a way of letting myself put these Forest Owls tracks out as a proper little package of sorts, here is the Bandcamp album, Free download, tell your friends. Some of these songs might make it to future releases, but most likely not.

So enjoy! There are fast songs, slow songs, spoken word bits, and everything you’ve come to expect from me so far I hope! I might write a track by track trivia thing for you all if you’re lucky.

Complaints Dept is still available too, so feel free to get all over that as well!

Wrote this last week at some point. I think it rained the next day as well.

i guess if i was a river i’d be good at floating
i guess i’m doing a good job at swimming along right now
i guess if i was more sure about what i was doing
then i could be more certain, and stop taking stabs in the dark

it’s almost autumn, but the world is still warm
it comes in phases, and we shut the window earlier because of a slight breeze
it’ll be nice to see what happens tomorrow; i hope it rains, and we stay indoors
nothing says lets stay under the sheets than a storm at yr window

the truth is, im looking forward to waking up tomorrow so much
that i can’t even bring myself to sleep
instead, i’ll write impossible language into notepad documents
that act and look like blank canvas

I did a remix, completely had this almost finished about a month ago, but yeah! Just finished tweaking it, and it’s pretty much ready for your ears!

It’s a cover of a Bon Iver song, which is totally pretty in it’s own right (video HERE), but I’ve made it into a little sparkly pop song, as per usual really!

Me and Sarah made another song! It’s about when I made up a story in my car the other day about Sarah being friends with a whale, but it wasn’t really a whale, she drew a whale on her hand, and then pretended it was real, and then went swimming underwater and three hours later realised she’d actually drowned and become an underwater ghost with a ghost handwhale.

Adventures followed, but Sarah was annoyed in real life that i’d killed her in a story, so this song is about that sort of! Enjoy!
